Khata, traditional Tibetan white scarf
The khata, or "scarf of happiness", is recovered on various occasions.
It is offered to a host on the occasion of a celebration, graduation ceremonies, the arrival and departure of guests, and official personalities.
Tibetans usually accompany this gift with the Tibetan greeting, "tashi delek".
